Purpose-driven education.

A Christian school on a historic nine-hectare campus, where every child is known by name and faith shapes everything we do.

Welcome to St Luke's College

A school with a story, and a light to carry.

St Luke's College is a Christian school for Grade 0000 to Grade 12 in the heart of Bedfordview, Johannesburg. We follow the CAPS curriculum toward the IEB matric, with a rich academic, sport and cultural programme on a campus few schools could offer.

Our name carries our purpose. Luke comes from the Greek lux, meaning light, and we want every child who walks through our gates to discover their calling and carry that light into the world.

As part of the ThriveEd family of schools, we make an excellent private education possible for more families.

Why St Luke's College

What families tell us they love.

01

Purpose in everything

Academic purpose, spiritual purpose, life purpose. We help every young person discover their calling and equip them to live it out.

02

Faith that is lived

Chapel, prayer, worship and service are woven into the rhythm of every day. Faith is part of the air here, never just a subject on a timetable.

03

Every child is known

Teachers greet children by name, notice when something is off and reach out before being asked. Mistakes become chances to learn and grow.

04

Heritage campus, fresh vision

Sir Herbert Baker stone buildings, a 1936 chapel and nine hectares of space, renewed with modern classrooms and sports facilities.

05

Sport and culture included

Athletics, swimming, rugby, netball, cricket, choir, debating and more are part of school life, and part of your fees.

06

Private education within reach

Exceptional facilities and teaching at a fee more families can afford, backed by the ThriveEd family of schools.

A Christian school

Faith at the heart of school life.

St Luke's College is grounded in the Gospel and a Christ-centred worldview. We gather in our historic chapel for worship, open our days with devotions and prayer, and partner with local churches in the lives of our families.

We welcome families from all backgrounds who support our Christian ethos, and every child takes part in our shared life of faith.

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden." Matthew 5:14

Our campus

Herbert Baker stone, renewed for a new generation.

Nine hectares in the heart of Bedfordview, with Sir Herbert Baker stone buildings, a chapel completed in 1936 and old trees that have watched over children for more than a century.

The campus has been renewed with bright classrooms, covered walkways and new gardens, so heritage and fresh vision sit side by side.
