Chanté Venter joins us from Skye College, one of our other ThriveEd network schools,  where she has been a highly respected Foundation Phase educator. She brings over 13 years of teaching experience across Grades 0 to 3 and is known among colleagues for her “kind and soft-spoken” manner and her ability to “magically turn mischievous kids into angels for the year she is with them.”  Claudia Pienaar, Executive Head at Skye College, describes her as “a gem of a teacher.”

Gugu Nkosi joins us from Broadacres Academy, also part of the ThriveEd network, where she has been an integral part of the Foundation Phase team. Colleen Traviss-Lea, Interim Executive Head at St Luke’s and Executive Head at Broadacres Academy, speaks especially highly of Gugu’s kindness. The Preparatory School Head describes her as “a woman of prayer and integrity” and believes she will be “a blessing to St Luke’s.”

Lynor Muller brings a wealth of experience from her many years at Reddam House, where she has taught across Grades 0 to 3 and taken on many additional roles. She is celebrated for her ability to “build rapport with children”.  Colleagues describe her as “deeply knowledgeable” and are inspired by her dedication to “nurture every individual in her care.” Lynor is equally known for delivering “exciting and interesting lessons” that spark curiosity and engagement in her students.

Nicole van Aswegen joins us from Midstream Ridge Primary, where she is currently a much-loved Grade 1 teacher with almost a decade of experience. Nicole is passionate about innovation and 21st-century skills, drawing on extensive training in inquiry-based learning and critical thinking strategies to inspire curious, capable, and creative young minds. Colleagues describe her as “hardworking and intelligent.”

Welcome ladies!  We are grateful to each of you for choosing to invest your time, energy, and considerable talent at St Luke’s. We have no doubt that you will lay strong, lasting foundations for a thriving Foundation Phase and we know that a bright new season awaits every child and family in your care.
